On the Road

Sugarcane en route to the processing plant.

...and from the front.

Penultimate Destination: Sugarcane Processing Plant

The Ultimate Destination, and imho as good as it looks. Regarding color production, I chose not to ask.

"Lunch!" said Najaam, and then he made an eating gesture with his hand, which I at first mistook for "The lambs are going to eat lunch."

Yes, lunch.

Am loving your dry-witted photo essays. More please. Hoping you are well! Think about you often. Deep inside the novel at this point. Riding the rollercoaster of doubt and hope, hope and doubt. Leaving for San Fran next week; maybe we’ll have weather warm enough to go without a coat. By the end of January we’ll have gained an hour of light a day. Can’t come soon enough. Remember when you were a kid and your mom was pulling some tight-necked sweater over your head and it got stuck on your ears? Now hold that moment for about an eternity. Now your sweaterless and cold, and blind for that matter too. That’s how this winter feels to me. Seriously, if I were you, I’d be writing ODES to the geckos. xo

I meant “you’re sweaterless,” not your.
